Work-life balance above all else

It's no secret that nowadays, among the factors most valued by employees when choosing a company to work for, work-life balance comes out on top, even surpassing salary conditions. And if we have a lot of money but no time to spend it with our children, what good is it to us?

Work-life balance policies

Assuming that every company should ensure the well-being of its employees and that this implies becoming a company that promotes a work-life balance, we share with you some policies that every “good company” should implement in this regard:

Flexible working hours to reconcile work and family life

Having an agreed number of hours to fulfil, a flexible hours would allow us to vary the start and end times of the working day, as well as to schedule without breaks, and thus find a better balance between work and family.

Reduced or part-time work

Part-time work or reduced hours would involve working fewer hours than those required for full-time employment, which would be reflected in a salary reduction. For many employees, rather than being a benefit, it is a necessity. This is because, in order to look after their children, parents find themselves needing to reduce the number of hours they dedicate to the company.

Teleworking as a solution for work-life balance

Whenever the employee can carry out their activity remotely in a suitable space, this work modality greatly facilitates work-life balance, as, among other things, a lot of time is saved on commuting. As we said in the previous post, teleworking is here to stay, and can be of great benefit to all if implemented in the right way.
