In a context of growing awareness of environmental impact, Edenred has stopped printing on paper. Ticket Restaurant. In addition, the elimination of transport associated with the delivery of the tickets will lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions due to the elimination of transport and travel associated with the delivery of the tickets.

Ticket Restaurant Zero and digitalisation

We are committed to innovation in social benefits, highlighting various initiatives for business digitalisation while promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) measures. In 2020 we launched  Ticket Restaurant Zero, the first 100% virtual card in Spain. A solution that is activated and used exclusively via mobile phone, making it more secure, easier, and faster. It is a particularly secure method, reducing losses and also avoiding contact with other objects and people.

Our solution can be used directly via smartphone, so we're doing away with plastics or paper. Ticket Restaurant Zero also adapts to the times, as it can be used both across our entire network of restaurants and for ordering food for delivery..

A new phase

According to the words of Manuel Asla, our marketing and communications director “We have dedicated ourselves to the recovery of the hospitality sector, which represents an important economic driver for the country. This recovery is linked to the implementation of digitalisation. A new era is dawning at Edenred. Our objective is the 100% of digitalisation, innovation, and being more responsible towards the planet. Our vision of offering a digital service, placing the user at the centre, has enabled us to provide greater value to restaurants and customers in the current situation.”.
