What is the Edenred Mobility transport ticket?
The transport ticket is a benefit your company offers you to pay for public transport — underground, bus, train or tram — using a Mastercard, physical or virtual. It can be offered as Flexible remuneration (allocating part of your gross salary, with tax advantages) or as Social Benefit (an extra provided by the company).
If you want to delve deeper into tax savings and how to choose between these options, we explain it in detail in our article on Advantages of the transport card.

Where can't the transport ticket be used?
It is important to be clear that the transport ticket is designed exclusively for Public transport, so it cannot be used in:
- Taxis and VTC apps (Uber, Cabify, etc.), as they are not considered collective public transport.
- Petrol stations, to refuel one's own vehicle.
- Tolls and parking, including the car parks of stations or airports.
- Car-sharing or moped-sharing services (Yego, Acciona, Cooltra, etc.), as they are private rental vehicles, not public transport.
- Flights and plane journeys, even if it's for work.
- Purchases that are not transport titles, just like other Edenred cards: it cannot be used to pay for food, leisure or other expenses unrelated to mobility.
This limitation is set by tax regulations: the income tax exemption only applies to collective public transport, so using the card outside of this scope is not only technically impossible in most cases, but would also not be covered by the tax benefit.
