According to our survey of employees' and companies' job expectations
Work-life balance has become one of the main concerns of Spanish employees. This is corroborated by the study “Job Expectations of employees and companies 2022”jointly developed by Edenred, leading payments platform, and BTS, The firm specialises in making an impact on the human side of organisations.
The study concludes that 76% of employees are demanding more flexible working hours to promote work-life balance and improve engagement with the company. The analysis, which gathers the opinions of 6113 employees and 646 HR managers in companies, seeks to shed light on the employment relationship between workers and companies and to identify the main gaps between employment demand and supply.
In addition to flexible working hours, there are aspects such as intensive working hours or subsidies for meals, nursery school fees or transport which are essential for those surveyed. Another measure is teleworking, the implementation of which has gone from being residual to becoming an essential requirement in terms of work-life balance in just two years.
