Achieving this makes communication simple, direct and appropriate. <\/span><b>In the company you see on a daily basis<\/b> <b>examples of assertive, passive and aggressive communication<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and, therefore, management's objectives should include training employees to overcome their tendency to communicate passively or their habit of intimidating others; and <\/span><b>start practising active and appropriate communication.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-como-ayuda-la-asertividad-a-mejorar-el-clima-de-la-empresa\">How does assertiveness help to improve the company climate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, <\/span><b>there is no way to control how other people will choose to communicate with you. However, it is possible to choose how one's own response is crafted.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Accepting responsibility for communication is the first step in improving relationships with others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertiveness is one of the most important skills for companies, as it is one of the most important skills for companies, <\/span><b>when, instead of examples of assertive, passive aggressive communication, the environment is characterised by assertiveness in all interactions:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b>It reduces the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edenred.es\/en\/blog\/estres-laboral-causas-sintomas-prevencion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stress<\/a>.<\/b><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They improve relations between team members and also between team members and people outside the company.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Labour unrest is reduced.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Of all the types of communication that exist,\u00a0<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.edenred.es\/en\/blog\/asertividad-y-empatia-aliadas-del-talento\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><b>assertiveness<\/b><\/a><b> is the healthiest and most likely option to help the individual achieve their goals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. For, although aggressive and passive behaviour may contribute to a person's temporary achievement of a goal, in the medium and long term, assertiveness is more effective.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you make other people aware of your goals? How do you make those around you aware of your limits?<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ejemplos-de-comunicacion-asertiva-pasiva-y-agresiva\">Examples of assertive, passive-aggressive and aggressive communication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><b>We all use different communication styles at different times, but we may have a tendency to exhibit one style more than another.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. After a while this becomes habitual. Our behaviour may be related to the context of the situation, who is involved or where the interaction takes place.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It could be said that <\/span><b>assertiveness is about actively and appropriately communicating one's goal,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> passivity means communicating in an inactive or ineffective way and aggressiveness would have to do with communicating actively, but inappropriately.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Examples of assertive, passive-aggressive and aggressive communication<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> would be:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: afraid to speak.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: interrupts and expresses his or her opinion over others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: speak openly.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: speaks softly.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: speaks loudly.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: use a normal conversational tone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: avoid looking people in the eye.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: looks at others with excessive fixation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: makes good eye contact.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: shows little or no expression.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: intimidates others with exaggerated expressions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: shows expressions that match the message.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: slouching and withdrawing.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: stands stiffly, folds arms or invades the personal space of others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: relax and adopt an open posture and expression.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: isolates from groups.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: tries to control the group.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: participates in group dynamics.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: agreeing with others, regardless of their priorities or feelings.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: only considers one's own feelings.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: they take into account their goals, but also the feelings of others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: values oneself less than others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: values oneself more than others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: considers oneself equal to others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: self-harming to avoid hurting others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: hurts others to avoid being hurt.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: tries not to hurt anyone (including himself).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passive behaviour: does not achieve goals and may not even have set them.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aggressive behaviour: achieves goals but may harm others in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assertive behaviour: usually achieves goals without alienating others.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>While it is true that assertive communication is not magic and that it does not always lead to the achievement of goals, it does provide other benefits.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. For example, when an employee makes the decision to be assertive, he or she is likely to surprise those around him or her and infect them with his or her ability.
