In fact, employer branding has become a daily agenda for HR departments, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Almost six out of ten organisations say they spent more money on this strategy last year, according to the report.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is employer branding?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This term emerged in the 1960s in the United States, although it <\/span><b>only in this century has its importance become established in the business sector.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If companies are sparing no effort to reach out to consumers, why not do the same to attract labour talent?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employer branding is a <\/span><b>marketing technique aimed at conveying within and outside the organisation the values and characteristics that define it as an employer. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and allows you to differentiate yourself from other companies and gain a competitive advantage in the race to recruit the best professionals. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this regard, we should not forget the recruitment problems that organisations are currently facing. According to the study <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hays-index.com\/the-index\/introduction\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Global Skills Index 2016<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Hays, <\/span><b>the business sector has serious difficulties in recruiting and retaining skilled workers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, despite the high unemployment figures recorded in recent decades. \u201cAs the global economy slowly recovers, companies are still struggling to find the talent they need,\u201d the report stresses. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As Dr John Sullivan points out in \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eremedia.com\/ere\/the-8-elements-of-a-successful-employment-brand\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 8 Elements of a Successful Employment Brand<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, employer branding is \u201ca <\/span><b>long-term strategy aimed at managing the knowledge and perceptions of employees - current and potential - about a particular company.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thus, according to Francisco Blasco, Susana Fern\u00e1ndez Lores and Almudena Rodr\u00edguez Tarodo in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ubr.universia.net\/article\/view\/974\/employer-branding-estudio-multinacional-la-construccion-la-marca-empleador\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employer branding: a multinational study on employer branding<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Employer branding is based on the application of marketing concepts to highlight the positioning of a company as an employer. <\/span><b>Its intention is the same as that of a commercial brand: to attract new customers while maintaining existing ones.
