Not only will you discover areas for improvement, but you will also make your team feel that their opinion matters. However, this is much easier said than done because... how often do you interview your employees to get interesting feedback?<\/p>\n<p>Normally this takes place only once a year, at the time of the annual review of each employee. However, in <strong>12 months a lot can happen<\/strong> and you need to keep up to date with what is happening in your company from the team's point of view.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>information flow should always be open and should be in both directions.<\/strong>; That is, employees should be confident enough to come to you and give you their opinion on an issue, and vice versa. And if you detect that your employees are not proactive, you should meet with them at least once a month.<\/p>\n<p>In these sessions you should ask them at least 6 questions:<\/p>\n<h2>1. Is there anything about your work that you are particularly proud of this month?<\/h2>\n<p>Start by giving them the opportunity to feel good about the work they do. This question is interesting because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The employee can \u201cbrag\u201d about his or her work.<\/li>\n<li>You will find out what is important to him.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Enable your employee to <strong>to celebrate and share<\/strong> your successes will make you feel more motivated and proud of yourself.<\/p>\n<h2>2. If you were the team leader, what would you do differently?<\/h2>\n<p>In this way you are telling them that their opinion matters and, at the same time, you can get new ideas that you can implement later.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, if you want to make your team feel part of the company, they need to feel that they are part of the decision-making process.<\/p>\n<h2>3. How could I be a better leader?<\/h2>\n<p>If you are, you will be constantly looking to improve, so you will value feedback from those you work with. You will also welcome feedback, whether it is positive or negative.<\/p>\n<p>At this point it is important that you remind the employee that he\/she can be honest with you and that there will be no retaliation (you will then have to keep your word).<br \/>Your team will be happy to work with a person who takes feedback well and you will set an example for them.<\/p>\n<h2>4. What is your biggest challenge right now?<\/h2>\n<p>Everyone faces challenges in their day-to-day work. You, as a leader, should act as a guide for them. Offer them your advice and help.<\/p>\n<p>Asking your employees this question on a regular basis will help you get to know them better and make them feel more comfortable with you.<\/p>\n<h2>5. What can we do to help you grow within the company?<\/h2>\n<p>Professional growth and development is one of the greatest motivators for employees. If, in addition, employees perceive that their company cares about them, turnover will decrease.<\/p>\n<p>In this way you ensure that you really <b>your employees improve and take on new challenges<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A good leader also knows that the success of his business depends to a large extent on the motivation and commitment of his team.<\/p>\n<h2>6. Are there any projects or tasks that you would like to do if you could?<\/h2>\n<p>To get a motivated and happy employee, you need them to work on projects that really interest them. Allowing your team to be able to move around and try new things will help them to discover, little by little, what their passion really is.<\/p>\n<p>Within a company it is not uncommon for a person to change roles as they discover their skills. Help them in the process by asking them this question on a regular basis.<br \/>This short questionnaire will allow you to get to know your employees better, find out what they think about the business and get ideas for improvements that could benefit the company.
