In the case of Ticket Transporte, employees will enjoy a tax break on an amount up to a limit of €136.36 per month (€1,500 per year). The following limits apply:
- In the provinces of Alava, Vizcaya and Guipuzcoa, the tax breaks from Ticket Transporte do not apply.
- In any event, the amount received as flexible remuneration cannot exceed 30% of the gross annual salary of the employee.
Ticket Transporte makes it easier for employees to get to work on public transport while enjoying tax breaks because the money spent on public transport using this system is Personal Income Tax (IRPF) exempt.
Companies simply need to order as many cards as they need from us. Once received, the cards can be topped up as often as the company chooses so that balance is available in the employee’s account when buying their public transport passes.
Yes, of course. You can transfer any amount you want to each employee every month.
If the financial help given to each employee is not enough to pay the full amount of their transport pass, the employee can ask for the difference to be paid as flexible remuneration. In this way, the employee will benefit from the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) exemption on this additional amount.
For transport tax break purposes, there is no need to have receipts for each purchase made by employees because the amount transferred to the card can only be used for buying public transport passes.
Ticket Transporte cards can be topped up via the My Account section.
Transfer: once the transfer has been processed (48 working hours), the balance will become available for use 24 hours later.
Direct Debit: after placing the order, the requested balance will become available on the cards 48 working hours later.
You will be told your card PIN when you activate the card. This number is essential for validating the transactions you complete. We recommend that you memorise it and don’t tell anyone or keep it written down with your card.
Download the Edenred app or go to https://clientes.edenred.es and create an account, if you didn’t already have one. Go to My Account > Activate Card. Follow the instructions, enter the activation code included in the envelope delivered with your card and memorise your PIN.
If you forget your PIN, you can recover it from the website or app. Go to My Account >> How to get your PIN. Memorise it and keep it in a safe place.
The PIN can be recovered but never changed.
